The Parent Portal allows you to complete funding declarations for your child's nursery place online. This secure portal is designed to make the funding process simple and convenient.

What is a Funding Declaration?

A funding declaration is a legal document that:

• Confirms your child's details for government-funded childcare hours
• Verifies your identity and eligibility
• Records your consent for the nursery to claim funding on your behalf
• Provides evidence for local authority audits

What You'll Need

Before starting, gather the following information:

• Your email address - Used to create/access your account
• Your mobile number - For notifications and verification
• Your National Insurance number - Required for funding verification
• Your date of birth - For identity verification
• Your current address - If different from your child's
• 30-hour eligibility code - If claiming extended hours (from HMRC)
• 2-year-old eligibility code - If claiming 2YO funded hours (from your local council)
• Child's identity document - Birth certificate or passport (if requested)

The Declaration Process

1. Receive Invitation - Your nursery sends you an email or SMS with a link
2. Create Account - First-time users register; returning users log in
3. View Dashboard - See all pending declarations for your children
4. Review Child Details - Check your child's information is correct
5. View Agreement - Read the funding agreement terms
6. Provide Medical Info - Enter allergies, conditions, emergency contacts (if required)
7. Upload Legal ID - Photograph of birth certificate/passport (if required)
8. Complete Your Details - Enter your personal information
9. Sign Electronically - Type your full name to sign the declaration
10. Submit - Send to nursery for processing

How Long Does It Take?

Most parents complete a declaration in 5-10 minutes. Having your documents ready beforehand speeds up the process.
